(THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE GALLERY SECTION ONLY THE FORUMS SECTION) to upload you must have the direct link to your image ending in .gif .jpg or .png If you are uploading content from your PC directly, I recommend using https://imgur.com you can upload any image regardless of content to that site. 3. Hey, welcome to DeviantZone.com We're glad you made the choice to join the community and make it better for both us and you! Our goal is to have fun! There are a lot of different kinds of people in this community but we don't mind differences at all. On the other hand, if you have reasons for leaving, please follow the appropriate guidelines. This will rid complications. Whatever reason you're here for, there are some things to know so you're on the right track. Introduction? This is your chance to introduce yourself as a member. Pop in and briefly say a few things about yourself and maybe why you're here. This is the place to be welcomed into the community. Introduction Guidelines and Rules You must have 20 posts or less to make an introduction topic. After that, you should fit right in so there's no real reason to make an introduction. [*]You may only have 1 introduction topic An exception is if you are away from the forum for at least 6 months. This is because it is the nature for a forum to change, so you'll need an introduction to be familiar with the new season of members. [*]No Flaming Allowed New members are to be respected. Any trolling done by users be it the original poster or a replying member is to be handled by moderators and not your unnecessary flaming. [*]No one-word posts Please keep the introduction topic interesting. You don't have to make a member biography here, but at least tell us some of your interests! Things like "Hi" or "Sup" as an introduction is considered spam. Additionally, do not reply to member introductions with single word responses. Make them feel welcome! Farewell? Sometimes you'll have a reason for leaving. To make sure that all goes well, we have a few rules and guidelines set in place. So please, make sure you read this before you post in or make a farewell topic. Farewell Guidelines and Rules You must have at least 20 posts to make a farewell and have been a member for at least 60 days. Two weeks is about the time you get used to the community and have been introduced via the chat. [*]No one-word farewell posts A farewell topic is for a goodbye that takes more than just a status update. Don't leave with a simple "I gtg lulz." Tell us the reason why you're leaving. [*]No flaming allowed Again, there is to be no flaming here. Please say your goodbyes without attacking another user or posting with the intent of causing flaming. Doing so will subject you to punishment by moderators. Additionally, do not attack users as they leave please. If they're respectfully leaving then you should show respect as well. [*]3 Months [*]The minimum time to stick with your farewell is 3 months. Be sure to ask me any questions about the introduction and farewell guidelines and rules. Your input is greatly appreciated as is your inclusion in the forums. Be sure to get to know the rules and enjoy posting! Have fun! ~ The moderating team
  4. Ask me Anything (AMA) Rules for posting We get to know people here, and as such if you want to ask or be asked questions it should post in this thread. If you want an 18+ AMA we have a 18+ Section for you to do so If a user does not want to answer your question they have the right to do so Do not create drama or insult their answer. You're all pretty flowers but have different petals so respect that No one likes Lurkers and neither does the AMA sections. Lurking will be punished heavily if repeated after warnings. ~Thank you

  6. NOTE: We will now be having stricter Spam rules. These rules will be strictly enforced as of now. Spam is defined as: Quote Spam is not wanted. It ruins the quality of our forum. Spam includes the following actions if not more: One word replies Replying with a single image/video Short pointless messages Quoting a post and nothing else Quoting a post and providing one word or short pointless message Posting unrelated subject matter in a topic Derailing topics with the use of a single image, gif or video Necro-posting Topics Posting the same post over and over (double+ posting) Creating the same content over and over again (topic and post wise) Below are a few example of what I mean by this: One word replies One word replies are very annoying and provide nothing to the topic. They are just +1 posts. Example(s): "Cool" "Thanks" "^" The following examples contribute nothing to the topic at hand (in a positive way that is). They serve are useless posts that for the most part just sit there. Short pointless messages This is basically the same concept as a "One Word Post" but a little more sneaky. As opposed to one word a useless, not well thought out post is made responding to the topic at hand. Example(s): "Oh cool topic". "I like that idea". "What is this topic about?" The following examples contribute nothing to the topic at hand (in a positive way that is). They serve are useless posts that for the most part just sit there. Quoting a post and nothing else This is the laziest of the spam posts. The user is contributing NOTHING of their own to the topic. They put almost no thought into the post and have technically posted nothing. They provide no content of their own, just agree with the poster they are quoting by quoting them and nothing else. Example(s): Quote Quoting a post and providing one word or short pointless message This posting practice is just as bad as the last. This time you are combining a effortless quote post as well as a one word post. Exmaple(s): Quote IKR? Posting unrelated subject matter in a topic This is probably one of the more annoying spam practices. This is when a user goes into a topic and post off topic stuff. Posting off topic stuff distracts from the topic at hand and derails the topic. Exampl(s): In a topic regarding Hockey: "Hey, can I be an AniTech Admin????" In a topic about Upcoming events: "How do I long into Discord?" In a topic about Anime Girls: " I like golfish" Derailing topics with the use of a single image, gif or video This is when a user posts a post that is nothing but an animated gif, an image or a video. It is usually done in place of actually posting. They let the picture, video, animation speak for them and portray their opinion. These are usually forced memes that everybody is tired of anyway, so they can get on peoples nerves. Posting large files such as videos and large gifs is also not kind for other users. Some users have limited bandwidth and you just wasted their bandwidth by posting spam. Necro-posting Topics Necro-Posting is when you take an old topic and bump it for almost no valid reason. This is against forum rules. If you are caught necro-posting you will recieve a warning point(s) on your forum account. Posting the same post over and over (double+ posting) Creating the same content over and over again (topic and post wise) These are essentially the same thing. You are posting the same content more than once and gaining post count cheaply. Do not do this, you will recieve a warning point(s) on your account. Spam is unnesessary and not needed. DO NOT DO IT. If you are caught spamming from now on you will recieve a warning point(s) on your forum account. The Forum staff are now enforcing a strict "No Spam" policy and spammers will be Punished. Spam distracts users from the original topic at hand and derails topics.
